Today, for the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, share The (Language of) Love. ♥ Growing up, falling in love & coming out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4Y1qTSqmgI
A while ago I was sent a link to this video by The Voices Project, because they thought I might like it and they were definitely right! I love hearing poetry read out loud and this short film called Bat Eyes beautifully incorporates When You Are Old by WB Yeats.
//
When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face;And bending down beside the glowing bars,
Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.
Wow! Stephen Fry….on THE LANGUAGE OF LOVE from The Voices Project.
Growing up, coming out and learning to speak THE LANGUAGE OF LOVE.
And here’s the second of our Valentines for this year….FIRST LOVE is tough when you are 8 years old….
